Inspirational speech by Mr. Biju Varghese

“Just be positive” These were the words from the innovative and inspirational Mr. Biju Varghese, the man who gave the physically challenged their mobility back. After losing the use of his legs, he invented a system that allows the physically challenged to drive a car using only their hands.

The students of MCA(2016-2018) were fortunate enough to get an interactive session with him, he spoke to us about his path to success and the importance of positivity in the face of challenges. He has been on the receiving end of many awards and he told us of the time he got awarded the “Best innovator of India” award and it was presented to him by Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam, it was one of his proudest moment and a fond memory.

There were a few key points that he put forth that would help anyone overcome the hurdles in their paths and reach their goal:

•          Take everything positively.

•         See every challenge as an opportunity.

•          Every mind is unique and will be right for a certain task.

•          Never give up hope, hard work pays.

•          Nothing is impossible.
